The ALBE EL HR forearm walker (1-2247-HR) is a gait trainer with padded forearm supports for walking practice, muscle building and mobilisation. The user supports a large part of their body weight on the forearms, moves protected inside the frame and regains the confidence a rollator can no longer provide. The LINAK lifting motor adjusts the height at the push of a button and assists the user in rising, while the dual-function hand brake secures movement and standstill. CE MDR Class 1, 5-year warranty.

Product in detail

ALBE EL HR – electric height adjustment with dual-function hand brake

The ALBE EL HR combines electric height adjustment via a LINAK lifting motor with the dual-function hand brake. The height from 83 to 131 cm is set at the push of a button, and rising from a seated position is actively assisted. For wards with a high volume of transfers, this is the version that relieves carers most. Frame, forearm supports and castors are the same as on the other HR models.

LINAK lifting motor

Electric height adjustment at the push of a button, quiet and effortless.

Dual-function hand brake

One lever at the handle: pull to brake gradually, engage to lock when stationary – without bending down.

Forearm supports

Padded, wipeable and adjustable to the user in height and width (29–46 cm).

Reuse

Bought once, used many times

A walker that returns to service after reprocessing is paid for only once – every further deployment lowers your cost per use.

Reuse is good not only for the environment, but also for your margin.

Benefits

Advantages at a glance

  • →Electric height adjustment: LINAK lifting motor at the push of a button – assists rising and relieves carers during transfers.
  • →Dual-function hand brake: Gradual braking while walking and locking when stationary, both directly at the handle – no bending down, also for carers during transfers.
  • →Forearm supports instead of hand grips: Padded, wipeable and adjustable in height and width (29–46 cm) – the weight goes into the forearms, not the wrists.
  • →Welded steel frame: Powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006, reinforced at the load points, corrosion-protected and suitable for wipe disinfection.
  • →Spare parts for every part: Castors, pads, brake parts and adjustment parts can be reordered individually – the frame stays in stock.
  • →5-year warranty: Value retention and investment security for facilities that plan long-term.

Applications

When is the ALBE EL HR the right choice?

  • →Early mobilisation in hospital: Safe standing up and first steps after surgery, with support via the forearms instead of the hands.
  • →Gait training & rehab: Reproducible settings so that training progress can be documented.
  • →Care home & assisted living: Robust mobilisation aid for changing residents, suitable for wipe disinfection between uses.
  • →Home care: More independence at home and noticeable relief for family carers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a forearm walker and a rollator?

The forearm walker takes a large part of the body weight via the forearm supports. It provides considerably more stability than a rollator, where the user only holds on with the hands.

Can the model be reprocessed?

Yes. The welded steel frame, powder-coated surface and replaceable wear parts are designed for reuse. The CE label remains legible even after disinfection.

Are spare parts available?

Yes, castors, pads, forearm supports and adjustment parts can be reordered individually – see Spare parts & accessories.

Why electric?

Because rising becomes a movement of the walker, not the work of the carer. The user is raised in place, making the transfer calmer and safer.

Does the motor need a fixed power supply?

The LINAK drive is plugged in for charging and runs independently of the mains during use. We will be happy to provide details on the battery and charging equipment on request.
