Over 20 NORDIC assistive devices are listed in the German National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds' (GKV-Spitzenverband) assistive device directory (HMV) and are therefore eligible for prescription. For medical supply stores, this means: clearly categorized products, tested quality, and predictable supply through statutory health insurance. Made in Europe, CE marked, and with a 5-year warranty.
Every NORDIC product is a CE-marked medical device. CE marking is the European Union's formal conformity mark: it confirms that a product meets the EU's defined requirements for safety, materials and load. For everyday use and for institutional procurement, that means three things in practice:
Documented quality
Each product is designed and documented to meet EU medical device requirements – including material, load and safety – backed by a Declaration of Conformity and a technical file.
Clear classification
Every item is a defined Class I medical device with consistent master data and EAN coding – unambiguous for procurement, ERP and warehouse systems.
Reliable supply
Manufactured in Europe and stocked in our German central warehouse – typically delivered within 2–4 working days, with direct-to-customer shipping on request.

What does CE marking mean?
CE is the European Union's conformity mark. It confirms that a product meets the applicable EU requirements – for medical devices, those defined by the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Every NORDIC product carries CE marking.
Are these products medical devices?
Yes. They are Class I medical devices under the EU MDR, designed for safe use in personal care, rehabilitation and assisted daily living.
Do you provide conformity documentation?
Yes. Declarations of Conformity and product documentation are available to partners for procurement, tenders and compliance records.
Can we resell NORDIC products as a distributor?
Yes – that is the core of the NORDIC Partner Program. You receive your own conditions, order directly online and can supply your end customers via direct shipping.
What load capacities are available?
This selection ranges from a standard 130 kg up to 200 kg. For bariatric needs, our XXL range extends up to 300 kg.
