Product in detail

ALBE GAS – continuous height adjustment by gas spring

In gait training, hospitals and care homes, users change several times a day. Releasing clamps, finding the adjustment holes and locking again every time costs time and effort – this is exactly where the gas spring comes in. It adjusts the height continuously in seconds, without tools and without anyone having to bend down.

Continuous rather than stepped adjustment is more than convenience: the user can be set to exactly the height at which the forearms rest horizontally. That is what decides whether they walk upright or slip into a compensatory posture. The forearm support inner width of 29 to 46 cm also adapts the walker to shoulder width.

The frame is welded, powder-coated in RAL 9006 and suitable for wipe disinfection. Four 360° swivel castors of 125 mm keep the walker manoeuvrable, and two of them can be locked with the dual foot brake. At 17 kg, it sits between the manual ALBE STANDARD (1-2250) and the electric model.

Note on availability: The ALBE GAS is not a stock item and is made to order. We will give you the current date in your dealer account or on request. If braking at the handle is also required, the ALBE GAS HR (1-2246-HR) is the right variant. For indoor and outdoor use with 200 mm wheels, there is the ALBE GAS-RA (1-2251-RA); you will find all models under Gait trainers & walkers.
